Welcome Letter From The Editor
Hello all,
I’m so happy you’re a part of The Correspondence Project. That said, there are a few rules in place to ensure this is the best experience for everyone.
If they aren’t followed for any reason, I won’t hesitate to remove any detractors. I can revoke privileges as well if need be. And I will not be lenient.
This is a safe space. A place for everyone to come together for the joy of writing. For the joy of expressing ourselves and for the joy of being able to share that with others.
That said, I’m very excited to see what you have to write and share with the rest of the group!
All the best,
— @An Angel
The Rules
- This group is for adults only. Only apply if you are 21+
- Keep the letters respectful, engaging, and interesting. This is an open letter project, meaning even if your letter is addressed to one user, anyone can read it.
- Stories should ideally remain under 5000 words. That said, anything 5000+ is allowed, it won’t be deleted, but we do encourage you to try to keep your word count lower. Practice writing short stories, flash fiction, etc.
- This is not the space for fan fiction.
- If you would like to share your fan fiction profile however, that is allowed. Put the link into your profile and make sure you have the fanfic tag added as well.
- Only include the fanfic tag if you are planning on sharing a link to your profiles.
- If you write any fanfic containing underage characters involved in any sort of sexual activity, do not share in this group.
- No profanity in the comments.
- Profanity in stories is alright.
- Keep it respectful.
- No lewd comments.
- Suggestive writing is allowed, but no porn, lemons, etc.
- No negative comments.
- If someone asks for feedback, you are allowed to give constructive feedback based on their Level of Feedback they’ve marked they’re open to. To learn more about the different levels of feedback, click here.
- Do not leave comments that go beyond constructive feedback. Do not leave rude, hurtful, or hateful comments anywhere on this project.
- We are here to support each other, to work on our writing, not put anyone down.
- That said, if you share a story on here, that means you are open to receiving comments/discussing your work. Do not share if you are not willing to engage in ANY sort of discussion.
- Stay anonymous.
- This group is anonymous for everyone’s safety and continued interactions.
- Please don’t share personal information in this group, either in your profile, or in your stories.
- If you’d like to share any writing that you’ve done outside of this project and it is under your real name, please reach out to me first so we can figure out the best way to go about that. Any content that is shared with external information will be deleted first, questions asked later. So please, be careful with what you share.
I reserve the right to limit any user’s interaction ability, to remove any user who is causing disturbance or who cannot follow the rules at any time.
I reserve the right to adjust, amend, or change the rules at any time if it becomes necessary.
